Trust God

Last Sunday, while my mother and I were praying, I suddenly felt sad and cried. I told my mother that I am sorry because I am still unmarried and cannot give her grandchildren. She said that she has accepted that and it is all right with her. Then she told me that we should just trust God because he is doing what is best for us. I agreed and realized that I do trust God with everything already. Amen!

Dream or nightmare

This will be in reverse order starting from the end because I cannot remember the beginning.

My mother told me that my father is in the house. I wake up.

I enter a small room using my key. I see a big bed and a bathroom at the back. There is a blanket in the bed. It seems that a big person is sleeping there. I see my father's things and think that my father is sleeping in the bed. I get out of the room.

I was looking for my room. I entered an apartment building. I pass offices similar to the Office of the Solicitor General and the office of the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. I find my room in the fourth floor, which is in the area of the office of the Chief of Staff.

I was walking in a village similar to the village where I live.

Walk and rest

We walk a lot when we go out, but we exercise when we stay at home. We use iPad apps to exercise, either the 7 minute workout or a 12 minute workout, both with warmups and closing stretches.

On Sunday, we celebrated mass at a church downtown and had snacks with the church community. We ate lunch at Dreamland, walked along downtown Montgomery, and took a lot of pictures.

On Monday, we just stayed at home.

On Tuesday, we took the bus to downtown and went to the visitor center, river front, and the Civil Rights center. There is a memorial and fountain in front with the names of those who sacrificed their lives for civil rights.

On Wednesday, we went to the shoe store, dollar store, department store, and the supermarket. We bought shoes, pants, food, and drinks. We also ate a pastrami.

On Thursday and Friday, we just stayed at home. We watched Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN), game shows (Jeopardy, Price is Right, Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune), crime shows (CSI, NCIS, Law and Order, How to Get Away with Murder), and comedies (Big Bang Theory, Mom, Mike & Molly, Ellen Degeneres). My mother dyed her hair red and brown.

Tomorrow is Saturday and we will go to the EWTN chapel and celebrate mass at 7 am. So we have to sleep early to wake up early to leave home early tomorrow. Good night!

Let it fall

Today is still fall or autumn in northern countries. These are my pictures of the trees outside our home and at the capitol here in Alabama. One of these days, I'm going to draw them.

Dream

I just had a dream. My aunt and I were discussing with my cousin the academic standards in colleges. We were saying that academic standards were fair and had a good purpose, while my cousin was saying that teachers and colleges were dishonest. Then, we had to tell our cousin that she had no right to say so because she never went to college. So we switched to another topic where we could all agree.

Arrive and sleep

We finally arrived!

My mother and I arrived at my brother's home this Wednesday. We had a long trip from Manila to Montgomery. The trip was safe, the food was nice. But we had a long time at immigration and customes  in Atlanta that we missed our flight to Montgomery. Good thing there was a later flight and our brother was waiting for us in the airport.

On Thursday, we just cleaned house. In the evening, my brother and I watched The Big Bang Theory and How to Get Away with Murder.

On Friday, a maintenance person fixed our bathroom tub and kitchen sink. Then a friend picked us up, and we cisited the hospital and the air force base. We visited the exchange, shopped at the commissary, and ate at the cafeteria.

Today Is Saturday. We were supposed to go downtown, but we felt cold and sleepy so we just stayed in the house.

Tomorrow is Sunday and we will hear mass in the morning.

Just had another dream while I was napping. This will be told in reverse order because that's what I remember.

I had a husband. He was in bed. I was standing near the bed. The doorbell rang. Then in real life, my mother was calling me to wake up.

I was having breakfast with  friends from law school. We just ordered a combo meal for all of us. There were pancakes and blue sundae. We were eating when the doorbell rang.

I was attending a party with an Under the Sea theme. I did not have a gift for the child who is celebrating her birthday so I went upstairs in a building to find a gift.

I was in a house at the second floor when suddenly my brother runs to me like a knight jousting. So I avoided him. I went downstairs and told people about it. But he still runs to me like a knight so I had to leave the house.

Declutter and organize

Hi! We're packing up our clothes and pasalubong for our trip and sorting the papers to be given away. Here are the pictures of the results of my organizing.

In my closet, there are many shirts.

Every hanger has a colorful blouse to wear.

Color me read.

Papers go vertical.

Files make piles.

Books wait to be read.

Dream or nightmare?

I had a dream this morning. I'm going to say it in reverse because that's what I remember.

There's an easter egg where Mom had a pie, and a man was telling her not to slap this pie in Dad's face.

The end is when I was locking myself in a room after I saw my Dad outside the door saying something.

Before this, we were rushing to an apartment which Mom bought after we saw Dad outside with many people.

I was running away through school and hotel corridors. I realized that I was late for PE class then realized that I already graduated.

I saw Dad with what I thought was his new wife in a plaza full of people.

My Mom and I were in a plaza in a mountainous place (think Baguio or Sagada) with many people, and we were looking out for Dad.

I was in a bathroom and I saw blood from my pussy. I was wiping the blood while holding the door shut because there was fighting outside.

I can't remember anything more.

I just remembered what he said. He doesn't understand Halloween. I do because I get scared.

Return home

We have returned home from our visit to my mother's home province for All Saints Day. I'm happy to have visited my relatives again even though we all felt tired from the trip. We visited homes, bought food, played mahjong, walked in rice fields, and prayed in the cemetery.

In Filipino, we usually hear the saying, "Habang may buhay, may pag-asa." For some people, it has become, "Habang may pag-asa, may buhay." That's why we return home, for home is always hope.
